To date the only FDA approved method for permanent facial hair removal and permanent hair removal on any other part of the body is hair electrolysis. Electrolysis has been performed for over 125 years and has withstood the test of time as an effective method for permanent hair removal. However, electrolysis is time consuming, pricey and it can be painful, so this method is best used for small areas of the skin such as the upper lip area.
